Problem Solving: Just Sleep On It

By Sherry Sims

Ever have a nagging problem that you cannot resolve? Can't sleep, tossing and turning with a million things in your head? Feeling under pressure and stressed out because you just don't have enough time in the day to get to every little detail? Not getting enough rest, but feel guilty about taking a nap or sleeping in?

Well, then, you need to learn to program yourself to work out the solutions to your problems while you sleep.

We all have invisible helpers out there just waiting to assist us, but in order for them to assist us we must ask for their help. By asking for them to help you right before going to sleep you may find that when you awaken you'll have the answers to problems that have been eluding you.

Whether you are getting your answers from your Subconscious, your Higher Self, your Spirit Guides, your Inner Teachers, or your Angels is not as important as getting the solutions that you seek.

Before going to sleep simply ask them all to provide you with the answers you seek. Ask humbly and then thank them in advance.

Here are some helpful steps to getting the answers you need:

1.) Get Specific.

Write down specifically what problem or problems you need to solve. Often, just by getting specific about what we need to know allows the subconscious, and our invisible helpers to bring the information to the surface for us, so that we can see things more clearly, often bringing a quick and easy resolution to the problem.

2.) Be Open to Receiving Messages.

Learn to look for guidance and information in non-logical places. For instance, if you keep noticing a pattern of numbers, or you hear a message in a movie, on the radio or on TV repeatedly in a short period of time after requesting help, then pay attention to it. What is this message trying to tell you?

3.) Write Down Your Dreams.

We often resolve situations in our lives through our dreams. If a dream seems particularly strong, or leaves an emotional impact on you that is stronger than usual, the chances are very good that this dream is trying to give you important clues to resolving your problem. Get yourself a good book on Dream Interpretation if you have difficulty understanding what your dreams are telling you.

You also need to know when to let something go. Sometimes the best solution to an unsolved problem is to try not to force it.

I have a rule that I live by that I call my "Three Times Rule". If I try to make something happen, and it just won't come together, after the third attempt I step back and ask myself, "Is this really what I want to do?" "Is there another approach that I should be taking?" "Is there a better way to spend my energy?"

When we try too hard to do anything we become willful. In energy terms this means that we are in a "dynamic" or "sending out" state.

In reality what we need to do is shift our energy into a "magnetic" or "receiving" state in order to receive the answers that we are seeking.

By programming our subconscious or by asking for assistance from our invisible helpers we open the door to receiving.

Universal Law states that "When you ask, you receive."

And so it is.
